We collect information you provide directly: your name, university email address, profile photo, bio, and listing content (titles, descriptions, images). We also collect usage data including pages visited, features used, and device information through standard web analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: verify your student status; display your profile and listings to other users; enable messaging between buyers and sellers; send important account notifications; improve the Platform; moderate unsafe activity; and process payments only for optional promoted listings.

3. Information Sharing

Your public profile (name, avatar, verification status) is visible to other signed-in users. Your email address is never shared with other users. We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with Firebase for hosting and authentication, Stripe for optional listing-promotion payments, and as required by law.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure in the Europe (London) region. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel only. When a user files a report, relevant listing or recent message context may be reviewed by moderators for safety and policy enforcement.

5. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

6. Cookies

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Removed listing and report records may be retained for safety, audit, and policy enforcement. You can request account deletion at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

UniBreeze is intended for university students aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
